Springfield SAINT Victor Rifle 5.56

The new SAINT Victor Rifle (available in 5.56 and .308) from Springfield delivers ultimate reliability in a lightweight package. Weighing in at just 6 lbs. 9 oz. (5.56) you can comfortably carry the Victor Rifle for extended periods without getting fatigued. Using the best components tested with the latest technology, the SAINT Victor rifle is one you can always depend on.

The Victor Rifle is shipped in a soft padded rifle case with 1 x 30 round Magpul Gen M3 magazine. It has a 16-inch CMV (chrome lined) 1:8 twist barrel that is Melonite coated for corrosion resistance and durability. The barrel features a 2-port Springfield Armory Muzzle Brake designed to reduce muzzle rise. It keeps the rifle shooting flat and allows you to stay on target longer. The Victor Rifle uses a mid-length gas system with a pinned gas block. A pinned gas block ensures it won’t ever move out of position.

Springfield uses a slim full-length M-Lok “interrupted” handguard. The top of the handguard is smooth to accommodate modern shooting styles.  Impressively, there is no flex or movement in the handguard thanks to Springfield’s handguard mounting design. There is a small railed section at the front of the handguard for a front sight. Spring loaded front and rear sights are provided with the Victor Rifle. The front sight is adjustable for elevation. The rear sight is dual aperture with windage adjustment.

The upper receiver comes with a standard GI charging handle that operates the Melonited bolt carrier group. Springfield uses Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) which is a non-destructive way of testing for defects on their BCG. This guarantees their BCG will be free of any defects or imperfections.  The upper and lower receiver have zero play thanks to Springfield’s Acu-Tite tension system. The buffer assembly contains a heavy tungsten buffer tube which helps reduce felt recoil.

Springfield uses a single-stage, nickel-boron, flat-faced, mil-spec style trigger for the Victor Rifle. The nickel-boron coating makes the trigger pull smooth eliminating the gritty feeling associated with traditional mil-spec triggers. It has a short travel and crisp reset.

Both the adjustable stock and grip are Bravo Company. The grip has an integrated a storage compartment and is textured for added control.  The adjustable stock fits snug on the buffer tube and provides a comfortable cheek weld. The lower backplate features a quick-detach mounting point for your sling.

MSRP on the SAINT Victor rifle is $1,073. You can find on for less from your local dealer on GunsAmerica.

Would really like to see more information on the .308 version. Also concerned about the actual cost compare it to a S&W …. All the way to the range. Thanks for the article.kr

If someone gave me one I’d keep it. But the price always stops me from buying….

I kind of expected another article on the Springfield Hellcat but I’m ready for 3 or 4 more articles on this Springfield.

Good review, have some “balls” on the next one. I don’t know your background, I assume military. You are obviously knowledgeable, own it.

I never see anyone with a Springfield AR at ranges etc, They use decent parts, but are they worth the extra price over entry level stuff?

  • robert prosser October 10, 2019, 8:37 am

Would love to have one but the not so great state of Kalifornia will not let you import them.

    • James Venus October 10, 2019, 12:42 pm

They are not imported. They are made in USA….Kali is guilty of taking away your GOD GIVEN RIGHTS.

    • Peter Brown October 10, 2019, 7:43 pm

I want to hear about stringent testing for accuracy and its performance using at least 6 different cartridges. “Hosing” at targets does nothing for me.
And, the “great” state? I hauled out of the people’s republic of kalifornicia a dozen years ago. It’s dying, isn’t it?

Nice article on a well designed MSR. On another note, perhaps the administrator of the blog should remove comments not pertaining to the article and those purely political in nature. Thanks.

Those who do not know and understand history are doomed to repeat it. Those who do not wish to preserve the heritage of the United States of America and all the values we hold dear, including sovereignty, are unfit to exercise the rights given by the GOD of this nation and protected by the brave patriots that have come before us. So if you wish to denigrate a man who loves this nation and would rather support those who wish to see Her demise then by all means fire the first shot. You will regret that day and when it comes you will not have a seat at the globalist table and the utopia they promise you will never come to fruition. Then and only then will you see your falicy and long for the days of freedom.

The comment section of this page is for comments related to the weapon that was featured in the article, not a forum for your hate of the President. You have done nothing but prove your ignorance by writing this comment. You can’t even spell or construct a proper sentence.

Wtf are you talking about? Write in proper English and punctuate.

  • Dale McIntosh October 10, 2019, 6:35 am

Perfect arrangement & design. Matches my 450 bushmaster , which is my favorite deer rifle , that I use in wooded areas that I hunt in piedmont North Carolina. Will get one as soon as my budget allows .

Your an IDIOT. TRUMP is the perfect president at the Perfect time. The only thing he has done wrong so far is he hasn’t UN-DONE enough of the worst president in history’s policies and exexutive orders. We need MORE WALL. ILLEGAL ALIENS, need to be prosecuted and sent back to their homeland. From your writing it appears you may be an ILLEGAL ALIEN, perhaps that is why you don’t like TRUMP. Anyone with just half brain and a Trua American Patriot, understands whst is going on and supports it.
