Mark and Patricia McCloskey gave an address this week at the Republican National Convention.
The McCloskeys, you may recall, made headlines back n June for visibly arming themselves outside their home in St. Louis when Black Lives Matter protesters and vandals trespassed on their property.
Following the incident, law enforcement confiscated the couple’s AR-15 and Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner charged them with unlawful use of a weapon, a class E felony.
The McCloskeys, who own a personal injury law firm in the area, have argued all along that they were well within their right to act in the manner they did, both under the U.S. Constitution and Missouri’s Castle Doctrine law.

On Monday night they had a clear message for Trump supporters.
“What you saw happen to us could just as easily happen to any of you who are watching from quiet neighborhoods around our country, and that’s what we want to speak to you about tonight,” Patricia McCloskey said.
Mark added, “Whether it’s the defunding of police, ending cash bail so criminals can be released back out on the streets the same day to riot again, or encouraging anarchy and chaos on our streets, it seems as if the Democrats no longer view the government’s job as protecting honest citizens from criminals, but rather protecting criminals from honest citizens.”
To that latter point, no one from the BLM protest that day was arrested for threatening the McCloskeys, trespassing on private property, or smashing down an iron gate on the premises.
Everytown for Gun Safety, the Bloomberg-funded gun control organization, was outraged that the Trump administration allowed the McCloskeys to speak at the RNC.
“It comes as no surprise that Trump is giving a national bullhorn to the couple who pointed guns at Black Lives Matter protesters, given that his administration fired rubber bullets and tear gas at protestors at Lafayette Square,” said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety. “But just as that dangerous stunt backfired on him in the court of public opinion, Trump’s embrace of the McCloskeys will repel far more voters than it attracts.”
“Giving these gun-toting clowns who threatened violence against Black Lives Matter protesters a platform is not just an insult to Americans who are fighting for racial justice, it’s also a clear signal to racists and white supremacists whose side President Trump is on,” added Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action.
Hope they get training and have his and her loaded and ready ars.

Every gun owner I know cringed when the McCloskys threatened unarmed protesters on the street. It’s not only embarrassing to this lifetime NRA member, but another round in the clip for those who would ban firearms.

For the slow, developmentally disabled and demorats, the answer is simply to flip the script:

This “Thought Exercise” is called intellectual honesty. Civil rights are for all people and defending your life and property is one of, if not the most fundamental of all rights. As is the Right of Free Speech, which is especially import for those we disagree (in the case of protesters not rioters) with, as it promotes civil discourse and a civil society, which some people, apparently wish to destroy, by any means.
However in all cases, both the Klu Klux KLan, Antifa and BLM, where or are, simply military arms of the Democratic Party.
Hopefully, the President will invoke the Insurrection Act and restore order in the streets, arrest and detain the criminal elements and especially arrest and prosecute corrupt officials who have both allowed these riots to continue either through action or lack of action. In the case of the McCloskey’s the officials who brought false charges, tampered with evidence, need to be in jail for violating their civil rights under the color of authority.
Law and Order, must be restored and the guilty and those that finance them, must be brought to justice.
The President is backing the constitution which allows the McCloskey’s the right to bear arms and you the right to open your big mouth fool.

When BLM demonstrators ,who as of June 28th, had earned quite a reputation for burning and looting most everything in their path, break thru a locked gate in order to trespass on private property and threaten the property owners with bodily harm and the destruction of their property, it’s hardly a peaceful protest and any reasonable person would have been in mortal fear for their life. [But not you apparently…] The McCloskeys’ inexperience re: handling firearms was notable, but otherwise irrelevant. What is relevant is very simple: activist prosecutors like Kimberly Gardner are attempting to cement a precedent i.e. law abiding citizens may not defend themselves from deranged mobs. Are you not smart enough to see that???
