One resident told reporters he was thankful the armed neighbor acted when he did, saying the situation was unlike anything he’d ever experienced in what he described as a normally quiet area.

Early Tuesday morning turned into a very bad decision tree for two would-be car thieves in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.

Police in Texarkana, Texas are investigating a deadly early-morning shooting that left a teenage boy dead following what authorities believe was an attempted car burglary.

Jail records identify the suspects as Connor Davis and Arqua Jenkins, both 29. Investigators say both men were armed at the time of the incident.

The intruder, described by police as a man in his 40s, was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

That should have been the end. Instead, prosecutors charged him with multiple counts of murder and unlawful use of a weapon, arguing he “could have just left.”

“Good for him,” she said of the homeowner. “If it happened to me, I’d want my husband to shoot him… that would be scary for me.”

“He threatened me and said that he was going to slice my head off,” Dilyard told FOX 25. She tried to call police, but the situation exploded.
