The Raging Hunter series sets a new benchmark for dedicated hunting revolvers, beginning with its sleeved barrel construction for reduced weight, factory-tuned porting, and a gas-expansion chamber to help reduce muzzle rise. An integrated, full-length Picatinny rail along the barrel shroud makes optic installation easy. For those hunters who prefer open sights, the rear sight is fully adjustable for elevation and windage. To help manage recoil and ensure positive, no-slip retention, the Raging Hunter comes with an ergonomic finger-groove grip with cushioned inserts.

I am not into hunting with a handgun and think the use of a scope is foolish as care to get a great picture on the scope is very difficult on a handgun with a scope. That said, a VERY powerful handgun CAN make the difference between life or death should a large dangerous animal like a Grizzly Bear jump you and attack suddenly. This could happen if you were fishing and in a Grizzly’s territory. Then I would really want this firearm on me!
I find the overall concept and general execution quite exciting, but…
I have to second the opinion that the *RAGING* is exceptionally off-putting for this potential buyer.
Worse still, it is so deeply lettered that removing it would be more problematic than it is worth.
Irrational as it may seem, nonsense like that or *GRIP ZONE* will in fact keep me (us) and those like me from purchasing the firearms.
Then, it’s merely an issue of analyzing whether more people want it /don’t care or whether more won’t look twice because of it.

Cool, gun, but the name “Raging” is awful. I will not buy one because of that alone.
I have a 444 lever action Marlin and when your shoot this beast it’s definitely a E ticket ride!
If you don’t hold it “tight” into your shoulder it will kick you like a true donkey….seriously!!!!!
I want one and a 460 SW lever rifle
The .460 is a more practical cartridge than the .500, certainly, but there is just a certain cachet to shooting a .50 cal that no .45 will ever quite have (much as I love most .45s). I have had the pleasure of shooting both in X-frame Smith and they were much tamer than expected. That being said, the Taurus Raging line is uncomfortable in pretty much anything bigger than the Raging Hornet. The factory grips are too narrow and not comfortable to shoot out of the box. I hope Taurus has beefed up the frame or at least put bigger rubber grips on the .460.
