Texas Lawmaker’s Resolution Tells Biden Administration All of the District’s Guns Lost in Boating Accidents

President Joe Biden’s desire to ban and confiscate black rifles will not matter to the residents of House District 2 in Texas.

That is because all of the firearms in that district were tragically lost in a string of boating accidents, per a recent resolution authored by state Rep. Bryan Slaton.

Rep. Slaton, who represents HD-2, was rather candid about the situation that purportedly occurred in Hunt, Hopkins, and Van Zandt counties on Jan. 10, 2023.

“I am deeply sorry for the citizens of House District 2 for their alleged loss.  I filed HCR 54, notifying the federal government of this alleged event because it would not only be pointless for Joe Biden to attempt to confiscate any firearms in House District 2, but it would be incredibly insensitive during this time of mourning,” wrote Slaton.

“I join my constituents in their alleged mourning, and I encourage all of my colleagues in the Legislature to investigate if there was a similar alleged series of accidents in their districts and inform the Federal Government of the same, by adding their counties to this resolution, so we do not add insult to injury,” he continued.

While it’s unlikely that Congress will enact a confiscatory ban on modern sporting rifles in the near future, given that Democrats don’t currently have the votes to override a GOP-led filibuster, the plain fact remains: the government cannot confiscate something that isn’t there. Or, better said, something that’s been lost at the bottom of the sea.

Any politician wanting to confiscate anything 2A related should be arrested and tried for treason as they swor to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America, but I guess placing your hand on the Bible and swearing an oath dosen’t mean what it used to.

I doubt that means much since the bible like the constitution is something they want to twist and destroy at all costs!

When Biden and all the other people who want guns confiscated from citizens of the United States of America give up their guns and armed security details maybe then I’ll think about them having a point, but they will have to do it for at least 5 years to show me they are really being truthful about what they are saying. The other thing I would like to see is when any politician or their representative is speaking they should be shown on a split screen wjth them hooked to a lie detector go determine their honesty

Amazing! When I lived in NY I tragically lost all of my guns when the canoe I was in capsized in an Adirondack lake. Oddly enough, a short period of time after I moved to SD I received a call advising me that they’d all been recovered and were being shipped to me. Never had a Discover card and never will. And usually pay cash for my ‘toys’.
