Generally speaking, I don’t like to publicly promote the names of mass killers. My reasoning is simple. That is, I like to believe that Dr. Jordan Peterson is right in his analysis that a lot of these sick individuals are seeking fame, or more precisely, infamy. And those of us in the media should do our best to avoid giving them what they want, even posthumously.

So, I’m not going to mention the name of the individual responsible for the tragic shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville, TN this week that left three students and three adults dead.
What I will say on the matter is that the perpetrator’s identity has been confirmed by NBC News and that it is who people on social media were alleging, a 28-year-old transgender activist.

Why does the whole “trans” thing matter?

Though the investigation is ongoing and no clear motive has been established, this has the makings of a politically motivated retaliation.
I know, it is crazy to think that someone could get so razzed up about politics that they would resort to murder. I mean, is that where we’re at now as a country? Your state passes a few laws that you don’t like so you shoot up a school?

What’s also disturbing is that just a few weeks ago this type of violent response was championed by at least one high-profile figure on the Left. Jane Fonda.

The Covenant School is a private Christian school. The shooter was a former student there, according to police.
It’s possible the shooter targeted this school because he or she wanted to make a statement to those on the Right, those who likely supported the state Legislature’s new laws (that are really designed to protect children).
The motive will eventually come out as the investigation unfolds. But in the meantime, we need to do a gut check as a nation. We need to end gun-free zones. We need to make schools hard targets.

Moreover, we need to condemn in the strongest possible terms any celebrity, politician, or public figure that glibly calls for murder as a means of resolving political differences. Because you never know who is listening, what their current mental state is, and whether they’ll take you seriously.
Jane Fonda didn’t shoot up that school, don’t get me wrong. But she’s contributing to an increasingly hostile polity where these tragedies are becoming more common.

Most “Mass Shooters” are under the care of a medical professional (isn’t that a misnomer?) and are taking or recently quit taking antidepressants and so forth. According to Dr. Peterson, Of the children who present with gender disphoria, by the time they turn 18, 80% accept their gender and decide they are Gay. As a side note, those who have surgery to try and change their appearance to the opposite sex, still have the same rates of suicide and alcohol/drug abuse. These are broken people and they will likely need mental health services for the balance of their life. Surgery just plays into their fantasy and does zero good. Back to Dr. Peterson, who states that the issue with children is more likely due to a “Smothering Mother who wants helpless children who are dependent upon them forever, another mental illness. Doctors should do no harm and surgery is not an ethical option in any case.

Several things.
The shooter was a she, her boyfriend died and she began saying i wanna be a man.
The initial reports described two ar15 type high caliber assault weapons strapped to her body, (how do you use a gun strapped to yourself?) and another had it an ar15 type and a shotgun. Both not mentioning the s&w m&p pistol. The rifle WAS an ar15 type, the possible shotgun was the kel tec sub 2000, a 9mm pcc.
Jane did manage to (seriously belatedly) mouth an apology to america and the troops, by saying she shouldnt have taken up the offer of being photographed in the AA gun emplacement, it was stupid, and everybody focused on it rather than her personal diplomacy efforts to end the war.
