Virginians!  Now is the time to take action!

Our friends over at the Virginia Citizens Defense League have launched a new campaign to defeat recently enacted gun control in the Commonwealth.  You should get on board with this and contact your local representatives today!

What you may not know is that the state’s 193 localities now have the power to ban guns in certain locations, including parks, government buildings, recreation and community centers, and at permitted events and streets surrounding those events!

This is a recipe for disaster!

As the VCDL notes, “If we let localities do this, we will have a massive spiderweb of gun control across the Commonwealth.  That spiderweb is exactly what the gun-grabbers want.  It makes carrying a gun such a headache because you have to know the gun laws of over 193 localities instead of just knowing state law. And it reduces where you can carry.  Gun-controllers want to keep expanding that prohibited location list until gun owners will just leave their guns at home out of pure frustration.”

Richmond and Alexandria have already taken advantage of this new power.

To give you an example of how it played out in Alexandria, it is — as of July 1st, 2020 — a Class 1 misdemeanor (up to one year in jail or a fine up to $2,500) to possess, carry or transport firearms or ammunition in those aforementioned gun-free zones.

At its core, this is a scheme designed to chill 2A rights, turn law-abiding gun owners into criminals, and create more victims of violent crime by increasing the number of soft targets across the Commonwealth.

The best way to stop your town or city from banning guns is to get politicians to embrace the VCDL’s “No Local Gun-Control” resolution.

Appomattox County, Patrick County, and Pittsylvania County have already passed the “No Local Gun-Control” resolution, and a few others have either introduced it or have signed similar resolutions that prohibit banning guns in certain locations.

However, the vast majority still need to take action. To see where your city, town or county stands relative to the resolution, click HERE.

“What other of our civil rights do we have that localities can carve up?” Said VCDL president Philip Van Cleave in an interview with The News & Advance

“We don’t let these localities take our basic civil rights and do with them what they please. It’s only the Second Amendment. When it comes to guns, that’s when the rules go out the window … we’re not going to let them get away with it,” he added.

There needs to be a precedent set here soon. All unconstitutional bs must stop now. You will all turn in to California where I live. Basically I’m carrying now illegally everywhere. That is
my only option now. If I were forced to protect myself or even just a traffic stop would ruin my life.

One thing about it, all of Virginia will know, all the way to the city level, who is a Gun grabber. Then they can replace every single one of them.
    Vote 2A brothers and sisters!!!!

People in Virginia (and commiefornia) need to vote these representative out of office and replace them with one who will follow their oath of office and protect the Country, the Constitution of the U.S. and the Bill of Rights.

I don’t understand why each county doesn’t vote to become part of West Virginia.

How ’bout Maryland’s West Bank (Arlington and Fairfax County) secede and join their defenseless brethren across the Potomac?
