Description: This specimen of the Smith & Wesson .38 Combat Masterpiece, numbered Model 15, 3rd Engineering change, served overseas during its law enforcement career, and its quality has worldwide renown. From its K913000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1969. It recently made its way back and its side plate is import stamped by Century Arms, as required by law. Type is traditional double and single action revolver with internal transfer bar safety device. Construction is entirely steel metal, K Frame with Square Butt. Trigger is factory .265 serrated face service style, with matching .265 serrated spur service width hammer. Capacity is 6 rounds of .38 Special standard or +P high performance ammunition. Weight empty is 32 ounces, with center of gravity at the trigger. Grips are factory Goncalo magna service type. Surface detractions on this particular 15-3 are moderate, principally edge whitening and surface freckling, with some brown toning on the grip frame back strap. Yoke screw shows minimal stress from armorer servicing. We rate it as Very Good, 75 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, however, should suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Double action trigger pull is smooth and consistent, and the hammer travels 2 to 5 degrees after the cylinder times on all six positions in double action. On single action, the hammer travels an additional 15 degrees on all six after the cylinder times into place. Single action trigger pull measures 4 3/4 pounds with moderate overtravel. Lateral play to the cylinder is minimal, 1mm by our estimate, both with the trigger relaxed and fully depressed. Blast effect to the underside of the frame top strap directly above the barrel's forcing cone is minimal, only a faint impress that traverses a bit over half the width of the top strap. This revolver has had very few if any +P rounds fired in it. Cylinder face to forcing cone gap is a perfect .006. Current pricing on this revolver’s nearest descendant, the 67-5 Lock Variant is $700 or more in our area. We're offering this attractive S&W 15-3, however, for only $ 459.00. Not transferable to civilian residents of California, District of Colombia, or Massachusetts. Any ammunition or personnel showing in our photos is NOT included.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
