Accepted Payment Methods: Returns: 3 Days Description: This is a Colt Single Action Army Frontier Six Shooter 1st Generation chambered in .44/40 with a 4 3/4" barrel. This gun will come with a historical research letter from Colt dated July 7th, 1992 signed by the Historian Emeritus at the time, Martin S. Huber.This Colt has a late black powder frame with a short two line address on it. There are not any parts missing on the gun and the action feels very good. The rifling on the gun is still there with slight pitting as to be expected on a gun 119 years old. The grips on the gun look like the grips that would have came on the gun but they do not look nearly as old as the gun, the owner said they the original owner took the grips off and replaced them with a set of wooden grips early in the guns life. There are a few issues with the gun, the biggest being the loading gate has been replaced at some time and the serial numbers don't match, the other is a few of the screws in the trigger guard look as though they have been replaced because they do not match or look as old as the gun. The gun will come with a generic Colt case and the original letter. If you have any more questions or would like anymore pictures please just ask.
