CZ began its foray into polymer framed pistols with this model in 1995. The 2000 reintroduction embodied input from law enforcement throughout the world. Manufacturer is Ceská zbrojovka armament firm in the small Moravian town of Uherský Brod in the Czech Republic. Type is striker fired, full time double action semi automatic pistol. Construction is steel slide, barrel, and internal parts in a polymer grip frame. Slide is serrated front and rear for easy operation; in addition to the serrations, the dovetailed device on the frame allows for certainty in manually racking the slide. Barrel measures 3.74 inches six groove right hand with 1:16 conventional rifling; note that the barrel and slide are ported to reduce muzzle flip and recoil fatigue. Serrated face .325 trigger pulls in the vicinity of 8 pounds, with 1 inch of travel. Sights are frame integral white dot front, with windage and elevation adjustable two dot rear. Grips frame has lateral flat ribs, concentrated in the front and back straps, as the photos show. Disassembly is simple, by aligning the link pin’s slot in the slide. Guide rod is full length polymer, and frame rails provide 4 1/2 inches of contact with the slide. Overall length is 7 inches from the muzzle to the grip frame strut, with 5 inches height from the top of the rear sight to the bottom side of the magazine floorplate. Thickness at the middle is 1.072 inch. Magazine is blued steel body. Each mag holds ten rounds of .40 S&W caliber ammunition, so 10 + 1 capacity. This CZ comes to us from its exclusive civilian owner in Florida. It is in its original factory box, with extra factory magazine. Surface detractions are negligible, only very tiny white streaks on some of the edges. We rate it as Excellent in Box, 95 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. From our inspection and knowledge of its owner, we estimate it has been fired no more than 300 times, and that is barely enough to break this pistol in.
