The EAA Witness P Compact polymer, writes the factory, features include integral locking system, auto firing pin block, windage adjustable sight and grip extension. Unlike most other semi-automatic pistols, the slide rides inside the frame rails rather than outside. This provides a very tight slide-to-frame fit, very good barrel lock-up and contributes to good accuracy. It is also one of the few production semi-automatic pistols available in the 10mm Auto chambering. Manufacturer is Fratelli Tangfolio SNC of Brescia, Italy. Importer is European American Armory of Rockledge, Florida. Type is blowback action, CZ / Browning style, traditional double and single action semi-automatic pistol. Construction is matte blue steel slide and internal parts, chrome plated and lined steel barrel, all in a polymer frame. Frame has integral two slot Picatinny rail, as the photos show. Grip frame has stippled surfaces on front, sides, and backstrap. Barrel is 3.6 inches, 1:15 six groove rifling. Slide is serrated rear, with 3 dot sights: stake on white dot front with drift adjustable low profile white dot rear. The Witness has a firing pin safety and main lever safety on the left side of the frame for right handed shooters. Main safety will engage in three positions, resting hammer, half cock, and full cock. The safety lever, however, does NOT act as a decocker. Trigger is blue steel .325 serrated face, with matching Beretta style Commander type serrated short spur hammer. Chambering is in 10mm Automatic; magazine is 12 shot steel body Tisas production, so 12+1 full capacity. Each pistol comes in its original factory box with gun lock, instruction manual that includes a warning against using +P ammunition, protective paper, and cleaning brushes. The 10mm caliber is +P enough in its standard loadings. Maximum overall length is 5 1/2 inches from the muzzle to the grip frame strut; height is 5 inches from the magazine floorplate to the top of the rear sight. Frame thickness is 1.215 at the reinforcement ridges beneath the port. Weight empty is 27 ounces, with center of gravity at the trigger guard – grip frame junction. Trigger pull on the photo specimen was smooth and consistent on double action, 9 pound vicinity; and single action trigger pull measured 4 1/4 pounds with very little felt creep.
