Krieghoff, sn20155, 1988, 12GA, 9lbs. 1oz., Screw-in Chokes
This fine K80 is a one-of-a-kind Krieghoff Custom gun. The gun was custom built for the owner by Krieghoff, with the owner choosing the Custom engraving pattern and wood and having it built to his specifications. The engraving roughly follows the pattern of the Bavaria Royale, but has 6 heavy, raised gold inlays; two quail on the left side, two turkey on the right side, a woodcock on the trigger guard, all in wooded landscape vignettes and engraved by Krieghoff Master Engraver Anna Mack. A very special 6th heavy gold inlay of a turkey adorns the top latch, comprised of white, rose, and yellow gold, and signed by Master Engraver Gino Cargnel of FN fame that did contract work for Krieghoff decades ago. The bottom of the action has the Krieghoff emblem in gold, and there are additional gold wire inlays at the breech of the barrels and along the edges of the fully engraved barrel carrier band at the muzzle. THIS IS NOT A CATALOG PATTERN, BUT ON RECORD AS CUSTOM. All the gold and engraving is set off by the blued frame for a stunning and impactful look. The wood on the gun is CAT5 wood, hand-checkered with a custom fleur-de-lis pattern, bringing this gun to resemble many of the Crown Grade guns that Anna Mack is so well known for. Study the photos and you will observe a fabulous, one-of-a-kind Krieghoff Custom K80. The wood is spectacular, full figured English walnut, fleur-de-lis checkering entwined with ribbons, a right-hand palm swell, and a Graco adjustable comb and recoil management system. The specifications are below, but the LOP can adjust from 14 ¼” to 15 3/8” between the butt and trigger adjustments. The 30” taper rib engraved barrels on the gun have screw-in chokes, engraving at muzzle and breech, with gold wire accents. The gun also comes with 28” tapered rib barrels w/screw-in chokes, and a third set of 30” tapered rib barrels mounted with a stepped high rib (can be removed) and screw in chokes. The two 30” barrels are KI ported, and the 28” set are laser ported. There is a full set of Kolar Sub-gauge tubes with screw-in chokes that will fit and pattern properly in any of the three barrel sets. There is not a sign of wear on this gun anywhere…she is as new with only the tiniest handling marks on the right side of the stock, nearly invisible to the eye. The extra barrel sets do have light handling marks. The gun is cased in an Americase with all the paperwork, tools, and accessories. She comes with a total of 25 screw-in choke tubes as noted in the specs below. This is a gun that would take several years to make and at a cost more than double what we are asking here. IF EITHER BARREL SET IS NOT WANTED BY THE BUYER, WE WILL KEEP THEM AND REDUCE THE PRICE ACCORDINGLY. Isn’t it time to treat yourself to the finest available! Thanks for looking.
