Here we have an AWESOME PARKER with mirror bores, great shooting dimensions with a long LOP, and great eye appeal. Many Parker enthusiasts are familiar with the name Larry Del Grego, who was an employee of Parker Bros. prior to the sale to Remington in 1934. Del Grego continued producing and later repairing Parker guns in their factory until about 1955 when he started his own gunsmith shop in Ilion, New York. For 3 generations Del Grego & Sons have been repairing and expertly restoring Parker shotguns. Most will agree the work done under the direct supervision of Larry Del Grego Sr. and his son Larry Del Grego Jr. ("Babe" Del Grego) was the best Parker restoration work in those times. This fine Parker, sn146877 built in 1908, was completely restored by Larry Del Grego Sr. in the early 1970's and has only been fired a few times since that time. Retaining 100% of its finely restored finishes, perfect mechanical operation, a second generation Parker Single Selective trigger, perfect screws and wood finish, this is a gorgeous Parker. They only made about 1000 DH Grade 16ga. Parkers, about 640 had ejectors, and only about 30 with single triggers, or 3%, only 300 guns with 26" barrels total. This grade and configuration of Parker is rare, and if you like single triggers it will be hard to find another like it. Priced to be a great investment and a gun you will enjoy shooting at your favorite game birds and clays games.
