We offer you a very rare fine indeed. We have an Underhammer Percussion Target rifle. It is an early half stock rifle manufactured by WOODBURY, N. & CO.— Woodstock, VT. And it wears a HITCHCOCK & MUZZY barrel. They were known barrel makers for Woodburry from Low Moor, New England. It features all of the attributes of an early New England gun especially the early termination of stock at barrel breach. The .40’s caliber barrel is 34.5" long and has an excellent bore. The gun overall measures just about 52 3/4". It wears the original barrel sights by the looks of them. And features an adjustable tang sight that has no makers marking, and also is in excellent condition. The stock is highly decorated and in excellent condition. There are no chips or repairs. The ramrod is frozen in place by swelling for the past 75 years the gun has known to be hanging on a wall! The metal is also in excellent condition and the color is uniform. There are just a few spots of small spots of pitting on the flats. These are very hard to find in this condition and originality! $2,799 plus $100 shipping to you where allowed.
