Description: Percussion double barrel shotgun by Edward Middleton. Has trademark "IXL No 1" at backs of locks and on barrel rib, reminiscent of the marks seen on late-1800s bowie knives. Barrel rib marked "LAMINATED STEEL". 36" barrels of average bore size. Metal parts have a light to medium gray patina overall with minimal pitting in the nipple area. Stock is very good, may have been lightly cleaned, has a small sliver in the right forearm edge, otherwise has minimal minor handling marks, but shows little use overall. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
