According to the Winchester book by George Maddis this rifle was made in 1941 . It is in 32 special cal. It has all of the earlier pre war features. The receiver, barrel and tube rate about 98+% nice original blue. The receiver has the desirable W marking on the bottom and below the serial number. The upper tang has the Winchester logo and is equipped with the upper tang sight screw for mounting a tang sight.The bore is excellent, mirror bright and like new. The screw heads are excellent and not burred by improper use of a screw driver. The stocks retain their original finish, are proud to metal and have not been sanded down or reworked. Original serrated butt plate and original front and rear sights. Original front sight hood. Perfect mechanics. No extra holes or sling studs. This is an honest "unfooled with" and well cared for pre war rifle that is in excellent all original condition. Additional photos are available on request.
