Our photographer has carried a blue variant of this revolver for 20 years, and it is light, reliable, and plenty powerful. This 74421 variant of the Charter Bulldog has a stainless steel main frame and upper parts, with Charter's distinctive alloy grip frame. It has a factory bobbed hammer and is double action only; the hammer does not stand for single action firing. Caliber is .44 Special or .44 Russian. Barrel is 2 1/2 inch full shroud stainless, and capacity is 5 rounds. This revolver will fire in both single and double action modes. Safety is internal transfer bar that prevents accidental discharges if the revolver is dropped. Grips are factory Charter hard rubber, manufactured by Sile in New York; and weight empty is only 22 ounces. Photo specimen is one of only three specimens we were able to get that are factory classification demo status. Most likely these were show guns at the NRA Convention in Houston, from their April and May 2013 dated fired brass cases. Each Bulldog is in its original box with gun lock and all its papers including a never executed factory registration card. These were never fired except during their maiden production session at the factory. A 4473 form was never executed on these revolvers. Replacement pricing on similar Smith & Wessons ranges upwards of $1000 apiece, and if a person can even find a Rossi model 720, they fetch upwards of $700 many times. We’re offering what few Charter powerhouse .44 Special Stainless & Alloy Bulldogs we have, however, the one in the photo or one of its identical mates, each for only $ 389.00. This revolver is under factory warranty, so no returns to us. Not transferable to civilian residents of California or the District of Colombia.
