From the collection of our favorite Kansas Police Chief comes this excellent set of Factory grips for a Smith & Wesson small J frame revolver with a round butt grip frame. They are perfect fits for any traditional J frame Round Butt Smith & Wesson frame .22, .32, or .38 Special, including models 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 40, 42, 60 and similar. These grips will not fit any other revolvers besides a round butt J Frame Smith & Wesson. They Will Not Fit a Square Butt Chief’s Special. For any shoppers unfamiliar with round and square grip frame butts we have included a comparative photo. Manufacturer, of course, was Smith & Wesson of Springfield Massachusetts. These are factory Goncalo wood with checkered recesses in each panel, glossy finish, with their original screw and nickel plated factory logos. Surface detractions are minimal, only faint finish loss principally to the lower area of the right panel. We rate them as Excellent, 90 percent vicinity, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. They came to us with a 1956 production Airweight Bodyguard, and we pulled them and put on a set of diamond magnas on the ’56 revolver. From their 860000 range serial number, they were manufactured either in 1969. We estimate they were manufactured in the mid 1980s, perhaps earlier.
