Mossberg & Sons of New Haven, CT, and Eagle Pass, TX. Construction on this 930 is steel barrel, magazine tube, bolt, and parts, built into a light weight alloy receiver with polymer trigger housing. Type is dual system self regulating gas operated semi-automatic. Chambering is for 12 gauge shells, 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch magnums interchangeably. Capacity is 4+1 on 2 3/4 inch, and 3+1 on 3 inch shells. A Choate Machine Tool Company number 02-04-35 Magazine Extension Tube will run it up to 9 + 1 rounds. Barrel is 28 inch, 12 Post .375 wide serrated top Ventilated Rib, with TruGlo® High Visibility Red Fiber Optic front sight. Choke system is Mossberg Accu-Choke®, same thread as older Winchoke and old model Browning Invectors. Since the 930 is not back bored, it will handle rifled slugs and sabots just fine. This shotgun comes with three factory Accu-Choke® tubes and wrench: a .720 muzzle diameter Improved Cylinder; a .712 vicinity modified, and .695 Full Choke. This 930’s barrel is NOT ported. All Mossberg Barrels for the past 30 years have been manufactured at the Mossberg Plant in Torreon, Federal Republic of Mexico. Receiver on the 930 is contoured like the Model 500 and 835 shotguns, for a Weaver #88 or 417 four screw optics mounting base. Safety is classic Mossberg top tang style; and the .250 smooth face blue steel trigger pulls at 5 pound vicinity with minimal felt creep. Length of pull is 14 inches from the trigger face to the end of the 7/8 inch black factory recoil pad. Each Duck Commander comes with a set of 8 shims to alter stock drop and cant. Factory setting is 1 1/2 inches at the comb and 2 1/2 inches at the butt with a 3/4 inch right hand cant. For one thing, the top tang safety is already southpaw friendly and the cant is reversible with the shims. Weight empty is 7 pounds 12 ounces, with center of gravity at the operating handle. Stock and forend are pliable, recoil absorbent graphite based synthetic. Buttstock drops 1 1/2 inches at the comb, and 2 1/2 at the heel, with a 3/4 inch right hand cant. Finish is OD Matte Green Barrel; duck motif machine engraved matte anodized receiver with Duck Commander Logo on the right side; and Faith. Family. Ducks. on its left side. Mag cap has Happy Happy Happy on its surface. Forend and buttstock are Realtree Max 5® Camo. Each 930 Duck Commander comes in its factory box with protective papers, chamber protector, two shot magazine tube adapter or plug, 3 choke tubes and wrench, Willie Robertson American Flag Bandana, cable lock and instruction manual that bears Mossberg’s Statement of Warranty.
