I bought this gun on Guns America. I was told it was a corporate gun taken to shows? Might be why it was the only one I could find through long nights and lots of searching. I have owned it for 3 years. I don't get out and shoot like I used to, and have shot less than 2 boxes of shells through it. I never got it sighted in properly. Don't wait until the day before season and 1/2 hour before dark to sight your gun in! Last year I got it sighted in good enough but it jammed a couple times. I took it elk hunting and hunted with it anyway. When I got back I sent it to the Mossberg service center to find out why it jammed. After a month I phoned and was told they were waiting for parts? I found a newer Browning bar 300 win mag at a killer price and couldn't pass it up. wanted to keep this for a backup, but I built a 7mm mag 40 years ago and just can't let it go! It is very accurate and I have killed several animals (deer and elk) with it. I have only one problem with it, it's not a good gun at close range(under 40 yards). It's just to fast and can't expand that fast? Anyways this Mossberg is now almost new! The only part I recognize is the off color muzzle break! The stock I purchased online and it had a crack so I sent it in with the gun and they replaced it with a new one. The original stock was broken and I sent it in before all this, they replaced it with a new one as well! Mossberg is a good stand behind there product company! Never a question from them! This gun was one of they're first batch guns, and is now replaced by one of there new models. The receiver is new, a new spiral fluted bolt, a new fluted barrel and sculpted stock are all brand new! Like I said, the only part I recognize for sure is the muzzle break? I haven't shot it yet and will leave that up to it's new owner? Unless they prefer I shoot it or sight it in? THIS WOULD BE A GOOD GUN FOR A YOUNG HUNTER OR FEMALE? OR IF YOU JUST HATE RECOIL? I had a friends kid shoot it after his dad shot it and gave a funny look after he shot it, very light recoil. Then his kid shot it(12 years old) and he just laughed! and shot it again! and laughed some more! sorry about the life story but you now know what I know. This gun didn't come with a scope unlike the new box say's it did! I put a burris 3X9-40 fullfield II scope with Burris rings on it to keep it light and would be a major update from they're scope anyway! The action is smooth and doesn't have a lot of play, a little but not much. It is around 8.52 pounds and I think it seems heavier than when I sent it in? Was a pleasure to carry hunting never got cumbersome even when I was wore out! It has 2 lazer inletted stocks 1 sculpted and 1 regular stock. Both are laminated and the regular stock has a few scratches I used it hunting the last year before I sent it back, but sculpted stock is brand new. This gun is new I Added the invoice last picture. the scope has a couple scratches and the caps have a couple shiny spots you can see in the picture of the scope. Nothing bad at all.
