Rossis and Tauruses began, of course, as copies of Smith & Wesson M&P K Frames. The 850 and 851 Revolvers made by Rossi, however, are more similar to the old classic Colt D Frame than they get credit for. This is an Interarms imported Rossi 851, Serial Number J 1013xx, that we estimate came in from Brazil some time in the late 1980s. Finishwise, it is a strong Very Good, perhaps even Excellent, specimen with light to moderate scuffing on the rib edges, lug edges, frame edges and on the muzzle crown. The sights, trigger and hammer are all white stainless, maintaining the traditional S&W Stainless appearance on a Colt D-size frame. Mechanism, bore and cylinder chambers are all clean and excellent, and the cylinder rotation marking is only moderate. Blast effect to the bottom side of the frame top strap it minimal.
