These have dried up and no longer available from the importers. This rifle has a very good+ shiny bore, correct cleaning rod and sling swivel, nearly matching and 100% complete. The action, floorplate and triggerguard are matching and the bolt is 7 numbers off. I would guess 2 soldiers from the same unit got their bolts switched. This is the long rifle with a 29 inch barrel. Only approximately 38,000 of all varients were made so these are rare and a must for the Steyr/Mauser collector. The crest is weak, however, all other markings are very good. These Steyrs are very accurate and fun to shoot. The stock has no cartouches and has no chips and one small repaired crack. The handguard has a hairline crack of no consequence and a small void piece of wood under the swivel band. This rifle is C&R elligible.
