Brazilian workmanship has always been excellent, with the possible exception of the old Boito brand of double barrels. This is a Rossi – Braztech Single Shot Rifle in .223 Remington; and the lower photos show a specimen we had in stock at ad comp time. The stock and forend appear to be walnut, but we are not absolutely certain about that. Word is that there will be no more Rossi Rifles in any kind of wood – Walnut, Goncalo, or even Brazilian Hardwood. Factory specs are as follows: Taurus catalog number R223MB; break-open single shot action; single stage trigger; transfer bar and manual lever safeties with Taurus lock system; 23 inch 1:9 barrel; overall length 38 ½ inches; weight empty 6 ¼ pounds; Brazilian Walnut stock. This rifle comes with a Weaver type scope base and hammer extension for scope mounting, as well as two keys for its internal lock, the same type lock that comes on Rossi and Taurus Revolvers.
