WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 38-40 ROUND BARREL RIFLE. This rifle was made in 1903. The barrel and mag tube rate approx 97% original blue. The bore is very nice with strong rifling. The receiver group still has original bluing and there is still some case coloring on the hammer and lever. The wood still retains its original finish and is in very good condition with only small normal handling marks. There are no cracks ,splits, rot or serious flaws of any kind. There are no sling swivel holes or additional holes drilled in the receiver or any where else on this rifle. It has not been refinished or refurbished in any way. I have owned this rifle for manny years. This was my first cowboy action rifle. It is extremely accurate. I have always done very well with it in competition. It has never been abused or neglected. The mechanics are perfect and it has never jammed or malfunctioned . This is very good sound honest 108 year old Winchester for shooting , collecting or an investment. Better than money in the bank. I hate to part with it but I just don't shoot that much any more.
