Always reliable since their introduction in the waning years of the Reagan Administration, the Double Action Model 21 or Bobcat was the market-responsive successor to the older Single Action Beretta 950 Jetfire and Minx pistols. Photo shows a specimen of the 21A Bobcat in .25 ACP with Matte Blue Finish and Composite Grips. This 21A comes to us from one of our brightest young collectors here in West Tennessee. This is a local civilian owned carry pistol. From its DAA serial number prefix, it was manufactured in 1997. Surface detractions are only moderate, with edge whitening and a small amount of freckling on the right center area of its slide. We rate it as Very Good, 85 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice so that our distinguished shoppers can judge finish grade for themselves. It is certainly excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. We are certain that it has been fired no more than 150 times. Factory specs are as follows: Single and Double Action Pistol with flip-up barrel instead of extractor – blow-back action, caliber .25 ACP, capacity 8 + 1, barrel length 2.4 inches, manual safety that works in 2 positions, synthetic grips, blade front sight and dovetailed rear sight, weight 11 oz. empty, matte blue finish.
