This Rifle has all original IMI Israeli parts except receiver and US barrel. The SAR was the Israeli squad's short barrelled weapon for urban close in fighting. Rifle has 18 inch barrel with Chrome lining. The milled receiver was made by Ohio Rapid Fire, one of there later generations. This rifle was headspaced and timed by an expert gunsmith, it runs beatifully and is an excellent shooter. It was tested with both 5.56 Nato,& .223 commercial brass with two different magazines. The rifle is finished in Vltor semi gloss Duracoat epoxy paint. The Handguard is original wood refinished.Front and rear Sights are complete with the night sight attachments but they no longer shine. The stock folds to the side for easy carrying.Their is one matching IMI steel 35 round magazine. Contact me if you have any questions. The SAR has a shorter gas system otherwise is the same as Galil AR.It is possible to cut barrel down to the original 13 inches if you obtain an SBR liscence which costs $200.You also could cut down to 13 inches and pin or weld on a 3 inch Muzzle break which can be purchased from Blakethorne Products for $35, or you can leave it at 18 inches and have better accuracy.
