Description: Springfield M1888 .45-70 "trapdoor" rifle with ramrod bayonet. Serial number 535888. Metal parts have faded case color on breech block and original blue on other parts, mixing with scattered surface rust. Stock is good with scattered handling marks, crack in either side of the forearm behind the upper band, 1892 dated cartouche opposite lock and "74/324" marking in right side of butt. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
