I have no idea what this barrel is? No markings, but looks to be a Naval tube???? But we have it on old original wagon wheels that are in good shape. The carrage is new made and is NOT a true copy of any know carrage, but looks VERY nice and well made. This cannon is 7' 6" long from barrel muzzle to tip of trail. The wheels are 41" high. 4 feet and nine inches from wheel hub to wheel hub. The barrel itself is 39" long. Two men can pull this around easily. Will fit a long bed pickup truck for easy transportation. It fires good and works fine. We shoot 2" wooden bullets turned on a lathe, 2 1/2 inch long with a lead nose. Use 250 grains of 2F black powder. Seems to be very accurate out to 100 yrds, the longest distance we have shoot it. Will shoot alot farther and it's VERY loud!!!! Lots of smoke and very impressive. Have the tar bucket and water bucket, wiping ram, loading ram, vint pick and a few extra bullets ready to go. .....For safty reasons the buyer will have to sign an agreement that we, the builders, will not be respondable for any accidents of any kind with this cannon, NO exceptions. This cannon is safe to fire with 250 grains of Black Powder only, no smokeless of anykind!!!!! I'm sure it could handle more powder safely, but why? Shoots like a varmit rifle with 250 grains.
