Mech VG plus mainspring is a bit weak. Wood VG plus with faint cartouche, the top wood middle band up has been replaced or spliced. Has a 40 “ Rd barrel with correct sights. The rear sight appears to be a repro. The barrel has the eagle head and proof. The ramrod appears to be an original but does not have the swell. The lockplate is dated 1861 and has a strong eagle and US Springfield marking. Has a US marked buttplate. Has the correct 3 flat barrel bands.
