Description: The Ruger Redhawk has always been an exceptional value, and a stronger frame and action than its Smith & Wesson counterparts as far as brute force and strength of construction is concerned. This is a relatively recent addition to the standard Redhawk line, the 4 inch Stainless Redhawk in the powerhouse .44 Remington Magnum caliber, but many of us old folk like them with 44 Special loads. Photo shows one of our stock specimens from 2012. Factory specs are as follows: Ruger Order number 05026, KRH-444; traditional single and double action revolver; .44 Remington Magnum and .44 Smith &Wesson Special ammunition capability; 4 inch stainless steel barrel and frame; 6 round cylinder capacity; transfer bar internal safety; Hogue factory combat Grips; Red Ramp front sight and White Outline windage and elevation adjustable rear sight; 48 ounces empty. The Redhawk continues to be an outstanding value, vastly more attractive and better balanced than its overgrown sibling Super Redhawk. This specimen is a local civilian owned revolver, bought new from us in 2009. It is in its original box with its instruction manual, yellow plastic wrapper, fired brass envelope dated from 11/13/2008, massive Ruger padlock, and never executed factory registration card. Surface detractions are minimal, principally carbon residue on its cylinder face and faint cylinder rotation marking. We rate it as Excellent in Box, 95 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is certainly excellent mechanically; bore, chambers, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Blast effect to the underside of the frame top strap directly above the barrel’s forcing cone is minimal, only a faint line with no depth that traverses the width of the top strap. Double action trigger pull is very smooth, and the hammer travels an additional 5 to 10 degrees after the cylinder times in all six positions on double action. On single action, the hammer travels 20 to 25 degrees on all six after the cylinder times, and single action trigger pull is a stiff and original but crisp 5 3/4 pounds with negligible felt creep. Lateral movement to the cylinder is negligible with the trigger relaxed; and with the trigger fully depressed, there is no lateral movement whatsoever. Cylinder face to forcing cone gap measures .009 from the right side. This is, then, a very well built, well preserved specimen of the traditional Ruger Redhawk. Replacement pricing on a competitor 4 inch Smith & Wesson model 629 ranges upwards of $1000.00 in our part of the country, and there aren’t any floating around for sale. Own the Redhawk in the photos, or one of its identical mates, however, for only $ 819.00. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
