This creation of Saint-Gaudens's star student, Adolf Weinman, belongs to the classic period of coin designs at the turn of the 20th Century where Lady Liberty put on her best face, and this is definitely it, the Mercury Dime, begun in 1916 and minted through 1945. These are worthy specimens, mostly from the World War II years, but with a good many from the 1920s and 1930s as well. These are all nice dimes, with no blems or culls. On the whole, they will average Very Good to Fine Condition by our estimate.
This collection contains 1,000 Mercury or Winged Liberty Dimes. While there is no way we can photograph every coin, we will include several random closeup shots so that prospective owners of these fine dimes can check our grading.
