Manufacturer is Fabrique Nationale in Herstal Belgium; assembly is at Browning Viana Fabrica de Armas in Neiva, Portugal; and importer is Browning Arms of Morgan, Utah. Type is gas operated semi-automatic high powered rifle. Construction is bright blue finish steel barrel, receiver, and internal parts, with white steel nine lug rotary bolt assembly. Trigger and its housing, and magazine holder floorplate are semi gloss black anodized aluminum alloy. Buttstock and forend are cut checkered, glossy finished European Walnut. Barrel is 22 inch, six groove 1:10 rifling, with ramp and blade front sight, and drilled for rear sight. The one piece Leupold matte steel scope base accounts for the absence of any rear sight. Magazine is old model BAR 4 shot, 4+1 capacity of .270 Winchester caliber ammunition. Buttstock has a 1 inch right hand cant, and length of pull measures 13 3/4 inches from the smooth .350 trigger face to the end of the factory butt plate. Weight empty is 7 1/2 pounds, with center of gravity at the breech face. Overall length is 43 inches. From its NM serial number date code, this BAR was manufactured in 1990. Surface detractions are minimal to moderate, principally light scouring to the left side of the buttstock, case contact muzzle whitening, and faint amounts of finish freckling on the left side of the receiver. We rate this BAR as Very Good, 80 to 85 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves.
