Specifically designed for the 38 Special and 357 Magnum cartridges. The original G-1 version of this ELP projectile developed in 1997 was one of the earliest versions of the Class-C on-contact projectiles that were NOT dependent on Explosive chemical compound tips that could be actuated by normal handling and feeding, normally encountered heat levels or static discharge thus becoming one of the most stable solutions for this Class-C applications. This ELP G-1 was also the predecessor to the ELP E-2 and the almighty E-3 projectiles in this caliber. The Generation-3 versions are in production now and marked with the latest 2015 Color Coding. These ELP projectiles were also made a heavier 118 gr. version.
