This rifle was offered on a lottery basis for purchase by the CMP. I purchased this M1 rifle in 1997. I have not fired this rifle, and it has been a part of my personal collection and has been in my safe since. Receiver is a Springfield, SN 617483 , Barrel is marked “S-A-1-52”. Metal finish very good to excellent. Stock is a very nice walnut. Has three “P in a circle” cartouche on the grip behind the trigger, SA cartouche and “RA” on the left side of the stock. There are NO dings or gouges anywhere on the stock. This rifle comes complete with all the accessories seen in the pics, as well as all the original packaging as it was delivered to me. Please review all the pics as they are part of the description. Additional pic are available upon request. These rifles are becoming harder to find in this condition and the CMP.
