This is grade V wood, vent rib and has never been refinished. The stock does not have the original old worn out butt pad but the wood is not cut either. You can replace it with an original style butt pad. This is a true pigeon grade from approximately 1958. This is a true 90%-95% gun. The one and only "flaw" is on the bottom of the fore end. At some point the finish has come off. It looks like someone cleaned the gun and got bore cleaner on the bottom because the finish has been removed on a one inch wide but about 2-2.5 inch spot. The wood itself is not hurt of damaged but the finish is just missing. If it wasn't for that, this gun would easily be a 95% Plus gun. This could be fixed but for the purpose of having a non refinished shotgun in original condition I have chosen not to mess with it.
