Description: This is a converted Jungle carbine from an original SMLE III rifle. It was produced by Lithgow. It has a matching bolt to the receiver. The rifle has a piece of the stock missing near the receiver on the right hand side which appears stable. No cracks noted. The flashider does not appear to be attached permanently. The bore has strong rifling with some shine to it. It would clean up much nicer with some cleaning. No rust or pitting noted. This rifle should be properly inspected/repaired by a gunsmith before firing. The low price of this rifle reflects its imperfections. This rifle is no longer in its original confoguration and therefore no longer qualifies for C&R.
