BUTCH BEAVER, NEW RIVER, AZ CUSTOM Push Dagger Business Card Case combo. I had this notion of an attractive, concealable, hide in plain sight, last ditch executive survival blade. I think this occurred in the 1980’s but am not 100% sure of the date. I discussed my idea with Custom Knife Maker; Devon “Butch” Beaver and this is what he came up with. Small, attractive, sharp, double edge push dagger that fits in a pocket size leather case with a slot on the back to hold business cards. He made 6 for me (each different) and a number that I saw for sale on his table at knife shows, I doubt that he ever made more than a dozen total ever, it may have taken as long to make these as a larger knife . . . but I do not know. This is truly a gem, high polish, sharp double edge, looks almost like a piece of jewelry. The blade length is 2”, overall length is 3 ¼”, card case/sheath 3 3/4” x 2 ½”. The handle scales are made of deeply barked stag horn and are fastened with two brass pins, gold colored etched on the hilt is D. Beaver NEW RIVER, AZ, the sheath is of brown leather, hand made and stitched by Butch’s wife Judy. Both sides of the full tang blade have horn scales attached with brass pins.
