Description: Vintage Globe 99 Air Rifle Model G c-1. Manufactured by J.A. Dubuar Manufacturing Co. of Northville MI circa 1890 - 1908. This item shows typical wear and still holds 95% of its original nickel coating. Wood stock is original and shows little wear. The J.A. Dubuar Manufacturing Co. logo is seen on the stock. This was a child's size rifle and is about 30" in lenght as compared to the standard Daisy's rifle at 36". The spring loaded cocking mechanism works properly, trigger pull was tight and it fired with a good, strong BB rifle sound.This is one of the rarest air rifles in existence today by a company who was only in bussiness for a few short years before being aquired by Daisy.The asking price is based on the fact that this is an extremely rare Globe 99 BB Gun where only a limited amount were produced and still is in working condition. One of the last known sales of this gun sold at auction for $2,500.00 in 2007 with only 40% of its original nickel coating and did not have the company logo on the stock.
