This pistol was made by Walther, the developer of the P.38. It is one that collectors would call a 2nd variation. The first and second varaition are the most desirable of the AC/41 pistols because they are the last of the high quality finished pistols. The grips are correct with eagle over 359 stamped on the inside. The original blue finish would rate about 95% with some slight wear on the edges and thinning of the grip frame. The serial numbers are all matching and there are no import marks, probably a GI bring back. The bore is bright and shiny with some minor pitting in the grooves. As is correct for early P.38s this pistol has inspectors stampings on all the small parts. The P38v magazine is not numbered. Early P.38s in this condition are extremely scarce. $1,100.00 OBO + shipping to FFL or C&R. If you desire more pictures, please foward your email address.
