The lock plate is marked TOWER and a Crown GR with an Arrow, bayonet is marked with a weak Crown 5. The barrel is 39" long & the musket overall is 55" long, it has a repaired butt plate, some pitting on the lock, good patina overall and nicks and wear from 200 years of handling.The musket and bayonet are in good to very good condition from what I have seen on the web. I have owned it since 1959 and have tried to keep it in as good of condition as possible. Every expert that has seen it thinks it is a India Pattern used by the British from 1 as the standard infantry musket. This musket & bayonet was brought back from England by US Army Lt. Col.
