I believe this rifle was manufactured in 1921. The owner had this professionally restored. The photos do not do it justice. The wood has excellent and detailed figuring in the stock. The Roll markings are deep and easily read. The screws were high polished and have an excellent touch to the overall look of the rifle. The owner requested to have several elements left original to the rifle during its restoration. The Williams rear sight was reinstalled after restoration. There is a new pachmayr rubber butt pad similar to the one which was placed on there many decades ago to replicate the look. There was some imperfections in the rifle's magazine which was left purposefully unrepaired and not finished over. The wood buttstock has a small piece which went missing many years ago near the tang. The stock remains physically sound. These imperfections were left purposefully for artistic reasons. The owner wanted to leave the impression that this rifle was still nearly 100 years old now and not new. This rifle would make an excellent hunting rifle or gift for someone that would like to enjoy shooting this rifle. A high grade original winchester is so valueable that most could not afford nor would want to shoot it. This one has the look but is not so collectable that you could not take it out and enjoy.
