The military sporter features a milled receiver. The rifle features a gas operated short stroke piston located above the barrel for easier cleaning. Rifling is four-groove, 1:9.5" with RH twist. This rifle features a 16 inch barrel with a welded on extension that brings the total length of the rifle to 36 inches. The VZ's 30 round detachable box is of light alloy rather than steel which bringing its weight down to roughly half that of a steel AK-47 magazine. Stock is wood impregnanted plastic. The trigger is a two stage with 71/2 lbs pull. Caliber is 7.62X39. Weight is 7 lbs, 5 ozs. The ejection port of the VZ58 is massive and I have NEVER experienced a firing malfunction with this weapon. A leather pouch with 4 additional magazines is also included with this package. Rifle will be shipping in a hardened case from my FFL to your FFL, no exceptions here.
