Serial #31864. the wood finish is very good and has a few light dings and minor scratches as shown in the photos. There are no cracks in the stock. The metal is in very good shape with most of the bluing intact. the barrel is in excellent condition with very good rifling and has a bright and shiny bore. Has all the original markings of the 1863 as well as the inspection marks but are worn down and hard to read. the lever tension spring is broken in half and both parts are still with the gun. Sights: rear; single leaf with slide bar, graduated to eight hundred yards of elevation, front; German silver blade set in iron base. Iron mounted. Markings: lock near priming device; R.S. LAWRENCE PAT / APRIL 12TH 1859 , to the rear of the hammer; C. SHARPS' PAT / OCT.5TH 1852 , at the tail end of the lock; W , barrel forward of rear sight; R.S.
