The picture indicates a gun with eagle grips, so it would be prior to 1895. Further, the top label says it is a "Pistol" rather than "Revolver" which means probably prior to 1890. We believe this to be original, recognizing that there are a number of reproductions out there. The purchaser may decide if we are correct by examining the pictures carefully. We acquired a number of boxes, mostly for different models, from the granddaughter of a long time Hartford, CT, resident who collected Colts and knew a number of Colt employees long ago.
