Composed of 416R stainless steel that's hardened to 30 RC, the bore is given improved polygonal rifling (1 in 7 twist) that slightly boosts projectile velocity and reduces the speed of the bore's erosion, meaning superior accuracy retention that outlasts that of barrels with conventional rifling. (MP HP tested * Extended Feed Ramps * Bead-blasted finish). The patented SwitchBlock adjustable gas block is pinned to the barrel. The Switchblock has three positions: Unsuppressed, Suppressed, and Off. The block's suppressed setting greatly reduces the amount of excess gas, carbon and fouling produced when a silencer is installed at the muzzle, as well as significantly improving reliability. Gas flow adjustments are made by simply depressing the locking plunger and rotating the selector drum to the desired position. * The Super Charging Handle (SCH) is 3D machined from a solid block of aircraft grade 7075-T6 aluminum. Its ambidextrous design allows for seamless operation from either side of the weapon. The levers are dual contoured similar to that of the charging handle of an M14, where not only the x-axis but also the y-axis receive radius cuts. The handling surface of the lever is also checkered, adding a textured grip aiding to the use when operating with gloves. The heightened rear lip of the SCH aids in mitigating gas blow back to the shooter when shooting with short barreled and suppressed weapon systems. All parts are then Type 3 Hardcoat anodized and are available in black. * The Noveske 7" NSR Handguard (collaboration between Vltor Weapon Systems and Noveske Rifleworks) is the smallest, lightest customizable handguard available for the AR-15. The bare handguard without any additional rail sections mounted is only 1.48" in width. The continuous top rail allows you to mount iron sights, optics and any other accessories without additional rail sections. The KeyMod system allows operators to fully customize the handguard with rail sections and direct mount accessories. Constructed of aircraft aluminum and finished with a Mil-Spec hard coat black anodizing for battle proven performance.
