Construction is entirely steel metal, mostly stainless. Type is traditional double and single action revolver. Barrel is 4 inch one piece with full lug underside. Sights are integral serrated ramp front with Red Ramp insert; and pin anchored dovetailed rear that is windage and elevation adjustable. Cylinder is fluted type, holds 7 rounds of .38 Smith & Wesson Special and .357 Remington Magnum interchangeably. Satin chrome steel .385 Hammer and smooth combat trigger are both close to classic 1970s S&W configuration, and the patented Taurus internal lock is the least conspicuous of its kind on any revolver. Ignition is flat hammer face against floating firing pin. Apart from the lock, safety system is internal transfer bar type. Weight empty is 38 ounces, center of gravity at the trigger. Grips are factory Taurus Finger Groove Combat two piece with stippled surface laterals. Finish is matte surface satin stainless.
