It has all the correct British property Marks and is dated 1917. This unique design differs from the Mk V by having a squared off target style grip as opposed to the bird's beak grip, the foresight was screwed to the barrel instead of being forged to the barrel and the barrel itself was lengthened to six inches. This pistol is all matched serial numbers (as best as I can tell) and is 257368. The bore is clean and shows little use as are the chambers clean. The action locks tight with very little play. The grips are intact with no cracks-good condition. This particular Webley has been converted to shoot the 45 ACP rounds (as have many been converted) using half moon clips (1 included). Two packets of .455 bullets (rare) stamped/wrapped in paper and tied with string. The holster is new and included. This pistol rig would make for a fun shooting pistol with easily available ammunition. Metal condition: Overall patina with some minor freckling (see photo, other close-up photos available upon request). Chambers: six shot revolver. Bore condition: good with no pitting, strong lands and grooves. Barrels: 6 inch. Triggers: single for double or single action. Weight: 2 lb. 7 oz. Sights: fixed rear and replaceable front.
