Description: Beautifully refinished Mauser 98K. Matching numbers: barrel, bolt, receiver, cocking piece, floorplate, and stock. Appears to be early war production: 1939 or 1940. This is part of a collection that's being liquidated. The previous owner had a 4X16 Center Point variable scope professionally installed. Metal parts retain original bluing, with no rust or pitting. There are no stock repairs. Rifling is sharp and well-defined. These were always very accurate rifles, and now with a 4X16 scope attached, 800+ yard shots should be consistently possible. (Although this is not an all-original sniper rifle, nevertheless it's not $5000 either.)
