Description: BOWEN BELT BUCKLE KNIFE VINTAGE NEW OLD STOCK KNIFE ONLY Vintage Bowen Knife Company U.S.A. knife/buckle in original Bowen Knife box. NEW OLD STOCK never used or even placed in a belt. We had a retail business in the 1980’s and this is left over stock found in our warehouse. This is the knife buckle only but the belts alone are available for purchase on Amazon and Ebay. This knife was designed by knifemaker Blackie Collins and the design sold to the Bowen Co. Made from 440C steel the sharp double edge dagger blade measures 2 3/4” and the overall length is approximately 5 ¾”. Stamped on the hilt is; “the BOWEN LOGO U.S.A.” and laser engraved on the blade is; “ the BOWEN LOGO, BLACKSHEAR, GA, PAT #3823421&2”. There is an unsubstantiated story that it was designed by Blackie at the request of Billy Joel to wear on stage. ONLY A STORY. The knife comes with an original factory box which shows a little shelf wear and unfortunately is marked as being the box for a different model . . . a single edge. The Bowen Belt Knife is also a Belt Buckle by design, which allows easy concealment despite its’ visible presence. This knife is new, never placed in a belt, never used, original, vintage not a copy the original. $125.00 plus $9.20 priority mail small box plus $3.85 insurance.
