This fine six shooter was built in 1976 in the state of Virginia. It has a 6" bbl. The cylinder pin has 2 notches. The second notch acts as a very effective safety bocking the hammer from falling forward far enough to hit the firing pin. One chamber is set apart from the others with an indentation on each side of it so you will know where the empty chamber is, if you decide to carry it with an empty chamber for safety. There is a little minor holster wear on the end of the bbl & the ejector housing. The bottom of the grip frame carries the inscription "WE THE PEOPLE 1776-1976". The back sight is fully adjustable and the front sight has a white dot in it that helps in lining up the sights in a hurry. This is not a safety bar revolver. You ear the hammer back and she clicks 4 times just like the old colts. First click is a safety notch. The second allows the cylinder to turn for loading & unloading. Third click is the cylinder bolt moving into position and the fourth click is full cock, ready to fire. The frame is fully case colored.
